Keshorn “Golden” Walcott was the headline act in a “September to Remember” for Trinidad and Tobago sport, the 32-year-old field athlete striking gold at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan to emerge as the Express Star of the Month.

Thirteen years ago, Walcott shocked the world with men’s javelin gold at the Olympic Games in London, England. Just 19 at the time, he created history by becoming only the second non-European in the history of the modern Olympics to capture the men’s javelin title, joining the 1952 gold medallist, American Cy Young in the elite club.
