JASON ‘MOON’ Clark will never be forgotten, according to his sister Jenny Daniel, who described her brother as a “good and loving person, who always had a smile and was always happy.” Daniel delivered the eulogy at her brother’s funeral

, which was attended by a gathering estimated at 500 at the All Saints Anglican Church, Newtown, Port of Spain yesterday morning. According to Daniel, “Jason was always in good spirits, even after his accident a few years ago. Even though he struggled to deal with the pain, he was always keen to interact with everyone, with that loving smile. “You will never be forgotten, especially when we gather together for our regular family limes or when we attend a local rugby game, we’ll always have you in our hearts and thoughts.” She added, “we will all miss you, but you have gone to a better place now, and you will be smiling down on us all, forever and ever.” The 30-year-old Clark, who represented Caribs Rugby Club and the national team before he became paralysed in a vehicular accident on the Beetham Highway in November 2012, died last Saturday from sepsis at the Port of Spain General Hospital. Among the hundreds who turned out at yesterday morning’s funeral were members of Caribs Rugby Club and other top local clubs including Northerns, Royalians, Rainbow and Harvard. President of the Trinidad and Tobago Rugby Football Union (TTR FU) Leslie Figaro and Kwanieze John, TTR FU Youth Development Officer and Project Manager at the North America Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) were also present to pay their last respects. Many at the service spoke in glowing terms of Clark, in particular his positive mindset and his eagerness to interact with anyone, from friends to strangers. Clark, whose body was cremated at the St James Crematorium, leaves to mourn his parents Andy and Josephine Clark, as well as his other siblings Brent, Jamilah and Jamal.
