With Defensores del Chaco as the stage and more than 4,000 athletes from 41 countries, the second Junior Pan American Games ignited a celebration of music, tradition and sport – the first step towards the dream of hosting the Americas’ greatest sporting event in 2031.

This Saturday, Asunción experienced a night destined to remain in its collective memory. More than a sporting event, it was an entire country – seven million souls – beating in sync with ASU2025, in an embrace woven from applause, songs and hospitality.

A stadium accustomed to the fervour of football on great Copa Libertadores nights dressed for the occasion to burst with national identity and pride, lit up by lights, flags and the energy of a crowd that not only watched, but became a protagonist of the celebration.
