PHYSICALLY fit police officers have greater capabilities on the beat and in emergency situations, says Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, who said he intends to look into fitness assessments in the police.

There will be an increase of US$1,000 each to both the men and women winners of the 2018 T&T International Marathon Festival (T&TIMF) marquee event, the 26.2 road race when the 37th edition comes off on Sunday January 27, 2019.

AT least one person has died as a result of Tuesday’s earthquake. Residents of Arima, and especially staff and students of the Arima Boys’ Government Primary School (ABG), were in mourning after learning of the sudden death of 46-year-old Courtney Chadee.
